Welcome to Speech Language Therapy!
My name is Maureen Ferrucci, and I will be your child’s speech language therapist this year. I obtained my master's degree in speech-language pathology from La Salle University. I also hold elementary and special education certifications. Before getting my speech language degree, I taught 4th grade, 7th grade, and lower elementary in a private self-contained classroom for students on the autism spectrum.
I love working with children with communication disorders. In general, some goals we work on are speech sounds (articulation), stuttering (fluency), social skills, and language (ie. comprehension, vocabulary, grammar). My husband and I love to travel whenever we have the opportunity, especially anywhere with a beach. We have two children that keep us busy. Our son is in first grade, and our daughter is in third grade. I look forward to a great year!
